My dedication to client service and desire to tackle any challenge has given me a breadth of experience in real estate, litigation, corporate transactions, probate and beyond.
I enjoy all matters related to real estate – negotiating purchase and sale agreements, construction contracts and retail and office leases. My years of litigation experience allow me to effectively negotiate and think through potential pitfalls in order to best protect my clients.
My clients include homeowners, developers, landlords, tenants, corporate owners and investors, with respect to real estate investing, acquisitions and dispositions, and development, including vacant land, office buildings, industrial properties, restaurants, mixed-use projects, and condominium associations. I also counsel lenders and investors holding distressed assets to work towards resolution through work-outs, deed-in-lieu of foreclosure and consent foreclosures.
On the litigation side, my clients range from defense of homeowners to companies in defending and prosecuting breach of contract and fraud claims, lien priority disputes, chain of title issues, mortgage fraud, fraudulent conveyances, easement rights and foreclosures.
I’ve rounded out my practice focusing on representation of small business owners with their business needs, including formation and governance, as well as individuals with their estate planning needs.
While I was raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I now live in Oak Park with my husband who is public school teacher and our three kids. I enjoy spending my time running, cycling, cooking, and listening to others tell me about great shows they’ve watched.
